Hello World: Motion Picture Director and Cinematographer

I am glad to be embracing the extra effort and work necessary to develop an online social media presence as a motion picture director and cinematographer:

Through these live networks and conversations to come, I hope to meet exciting filmmakers professionally and artistically.

I work out of the Kensington Market in downtown Toronto. It is there that I will now begin to author several short films and music videos to demonstrate a more solid portfolio for larger motion picture projects. The Liason of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) will be a resource for valuable skills and equipment in these directions.

Creatively my films will emerge from the work I intend to do next. In the meanwhile, professionally I would like to work for Revolver Film Company as a music video director with a quality of work in the style of Floria Sigismondi (see “Blue Orchid” by The White Stripes) and Mark Romanek (see “Perfect Drug” by Nine Inch Nails). I am not interested in anything less in quality and I will strive the best I can towards this professional and creative aim.

I have worked for a few years on union and independent motion picture productions throughout Toronto. I understand what kind of a team and effort it takes to create extraordinary motion picture experiences. The opportunities and possibilities are rare but they exist.

Finally, as I see that real Motion Picture authoring is a great Art Form just under Live Source Theatre and inclusive of many fields, this direction of mine will continue to revolve around Binary Emergence and digital spheres. I see great possibilities for graphic design entering the motion graphic realm as abstract digital video signal generation becomes connected to the information flows of social media feeds to provide emergent real-time information architecture never before experienced. This I also consider to be motion pictures of the near future.
